Marilisa Novacco, DVM, PhD, Dipl. European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP), graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2007 and obtained her PhD in 2012 at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich (UZH), Switzerland. After a postdoctoral fellowship focusing on feline and canine leukemias, she completed her residency in clinical pathology and became the first ECVCP Diplomate trained at the Vetsuisse Faculty in 2017. She currently serves as Director of the ECVCP residency program at the Clinical Laboratory of the Vetsuisse Faculty and oversees the flow cytometry diagnostic service for veterinary species. Her work focuses on hematology, particularly oncohematology, and laboratory diagnostics.
